This invention relates to a device for remotely cleaning rolls in a manufacturing line using real haptics technology. The operator can feel the reaction force from the roll and freely change the pressing force. This enables a safe working environment and improves the precision and efficiency of foreign matter removal. The device includes a transport device that moves the pressing member in the axial direction of the roll, combining a transmission mechanism and a drive motor.
Conventional roll cleaning operations relied on manual labor, posing safety issues due to direct contact between the worker and the roll. Additionally, the precision of foreign matter removal was low, and efficiency was poor. Furthermore, the need for workers to approach the roll meant that the safety of the working environment was not adequately ensured. To address these challenges, technology that allows safe remote operations was required.
This invention allows operators to safely work from a distance using real haptics technology. It transmits force haptics between the pressing member and the operating equipment, enabling operators to adjust the pressing force remotely without direct contact with the roll. This improves the precision and efficiency of foreign matter removal and enhances the safety of the working environment. The device is equipped with an imaging device that monitors the surface condition of the roll, allowing the operator to grasp the situation in real-time.
